Short Bio:
My primary role in the community, as I see myself, is as an educator. From my years working on large accounts for Apple’s business team, I eventually found my calling to be a teacher when I took the opportunity to conduct product training for customers. From there, I left Apple to pursue a career in teaching. Over the past eight years, I have taught numerous math courses at the high-school level, as well as adult financial literacy courses at night school. Discovering Kami in 2020 allowed me to share my passion for teaching and help my peers to elevate their professional skills. Now I spend my days teaching numerous educators and administrative leaders across the nation how to level-up their classrooms with Kami.

Long Bio:
Background
I am Oliver Tingling. I am a father, a pisces, a New Yorker, a proud Jamaican-American, a dual postgraduate alumni, and a teacher.

My love of learning and imparting knowledge extends beyond my time spent at university.
After my undergraduate degree, I worked for Apple Inc in the sales department. Collecting two masters degrees along the way, I helped Apple to launch two new Apple stores in Pennsylvania. On a whim, I took the opportunity to do product training for customers. It was during those training sessions for all age levels that I found my calling to be a teacher.

Teaching Experience
Over the last 8 years, I have been teaching Mathematics. For the first three years I taught math full-time, where I worked at an accelerated high school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At this institution, I created new instructional activities and programs with the aim of accommodating the capabilities of any student willing to learn. I also taught grown adults various financial literacy courses at night school. I was a former Dean of Students along with teaching Math and Science for grades 6-12. I have taught numerous courses which include Algebra I, Statistics, Transitional Math and Physics.

Kami Ambassador
Things changed when I was introduced to Kami in 2020. I quickly became Level 1 and 2 certified and became a Kami Hero in 2021. In 2022 I made the difficult call to leave the classroom and promote Kami full-time. Now, I spend my days teaching numerous educators and administrative leaders across the nation how to level-up their classrooms with Kami. No matter what, I continue to bring my classroom ethos of personalized, responsive education to anybody who is willing to learn.
