CEO
Mike Guerena is founder and CEO of ThinkWrite Technologies, a California-based, leading developer of high quality, value-driven headphones and headsets that provide a superior user experience at an affordable price.
Guerena founded ThinkWrite in 2013 following a successful leadership career in education, where he first recognized a gap in the marketplace and set out to develop high-quality headsets that not only provide a top-notch audio experience but are designed to withstand the rigors of daily use by students.
As CEO of ThinkWrite, Guerena applies his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping others towards his vision of providing high-quality, durable audio accessories, designed with ergonomic superiority for long hours of comfortable listening. From its early beginnings as a family business, today ThinkWrite is building upon its legacy of superior user experience at an affordable price and designs an exceptional product line for audio users of all ages - for the home, office and play.
Prior to launching ThinkWrite, Guerena served as Technology Director for the Encinitas Union School District, one of the first districts in the U.S. to provide every student with an iPad, in essence leading the way “from textbooks to tablets.” Leading the district’s transformation into an award-winning digital learning environment, the program received high marks for increasing student skills in math and reading while both improving engagement levels and motivation. Guerena has been recognized for his contributions in educational technology by Apple, the Center for Digital Education, Classroom of the Future and the Alliance for Distance Education. In 2015 he was chosen as one of the 20 to Watch Leaders in Educational Technology by the National School Board Association. Additionally, Guerena founded the Orange County Animation Project, an innovative school animation program that empowered middle and high school students on an animation-adjacent career path by connecting them directly to professional animators for real time feedback on their work. Guerena gives credit to his career in education and teaching experience for helping forge his entrepreneurial path.
